Timo Hanschke, another member of the HârnList and also fellow house rules guru (you'll see his name mentioned in the credits for GunMaster Gold), has knocked together his own set of house rules for use in HârnMaster Core (HMC). As Timo is still working on developing his website, the link to his rules can be found here:

I have updated Hârn Link with a few additional links. It just keeps growing...

Edwyn Kumar, a fellow member of the HârnList mailing list (the largest discussion forum for anything remotely related to Hârn), has presented a favourable review of HârnWorld on RPGnet. Makes for interesting reading.

Read the review at http://www.rpg.net/news+reviews/reviews/rev_3486.html

By the way, since I have put in a plug for the venerable HârnList, I ought to mention a couple of other discussion forums: the HârnList on eGroups, run by Al Lowe (another Hârn fan); and the official Hârn Forum which is run by Columbia Games.

Registering a domain name these days is considerably easier and cheaper than it used to be. Which is why WarFlail's Armoury has now moved to http://www.warflail.com/. If you link to this site, please be sure to update the URL.

By the way, if you are interested in registering a domain name for yourself or your business, give http://www.yournamefree.com a go.

WarFlail's Armoury is 2 years old today! :-)

Sunday, 1 October 2000

All good things must come to an end some time, and it ended with a huge bang this time! What I am talking about is the Sydney Olympics, which has been hailed as the best Olympics ever. The closing ceremony took place tonight, finished off with the biggest fireworks display in Australian history.

Australia managed to come in fourth place on the medal tally (16 gold medals, 58 total), after the United States of America, Russia and China. Not bad for a country with a population of only 19 million! :-)

Too bad I wasn't in Sydney to participate in the festivities. Instead, Scully and I were putting our feet up at a seaside cottage and sipping fine red wine in the serene southwest region of Western Australia, enjoying the beautiful view.

Oh, by the way, I have updated September's events and posted a whole bunch of photos from my travels. If you are interested in having a look, please click here.
