Today is Anzac Day, a day of remembrance for the soldiers who died in Gallipoli during the First World War, the site of the Australia & New Zealand Army Corps' first major military action. Lest we forget.

Easter. Arguably the most important holy day of the Christian calendar. It is the commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, observed on the first Sunday after the full moon that occurs on or next after 21 March. For some bizarre reason, the Easter Bunny is supposed to deliver colourfully decorated eggs (or chocolate imitations of them) to children at this time...

I ran another session of "Gargun with Guns" today, my GunMaster Gold campaign. It was considerably bloodier than the previous game, and unfortunately one of the PCs was killed in action (CPR couldn't revive him). However, all of the violence in today's session was precipitated by the PCs' actions, so the players can't complain...

Today is Good Friday under the Christian calendar, and Australia being a predominantly Christian nation, today is a public holiday.
My old mate Spectre sent me a couple of choice URLs that are definitely worth checking out! Visit them now:
http://space.com/ An informative and up-to-date site on all things related to space exploration.
http://www.historychannel.com/ What happened on your birthday? Some very interesting things here.

I learned from Ned Kelly that there is a better Internet security program than BlackICE Defender available at the moment: ZoneAlarm. Not only does this firewall program provide perfect stealth capabilities on the Net, it also doesn't crash (unlike BlackICE) when I access my PGP-encrypted drive. Best of all, it's free for personal use! Brilliant.

HârnMaster House Rules Update: I uploaded an excellent modern-day psychological disorders table that one of my players - Chadwyn - wrote. You'll be able to tell that he majored in psychology at university! :-) Anyway, although it is intended for GunMaster, it is well worth incorporating even in medieval Hârn, so take a look.

HârnMaster House Rules Update: I've corrected the small errors in the GunMaster Effective Impact Calculator, so now it's up to version 1.5. If you're at all interested in GunMaster Gold, do check it out.

Ned Kelly sent me an interesting URL for Shields UP!, an Internet connection security analysis site. It brings awareness to the fact that so much of the Internet is not secure, that so many Web surfers have no idea that their PCs are left wide open and vulnerable to attack by hackers. This site offers to test your computer's shields and ports to show just how vulnerable your machine really is. Scary.
Lucky I have BlackICE Defender installed...

I ran yet another session of my GunMaster Gold campaign, "Gargun with Guns". It was a better turnout this time, with 4 players attending - a 100% improvement over the last session! :-)
What, you still don't know what GunMaster Gold is?! Click here!
