Town Names

This page generates a list of 100 names. These can be used for town names (their primary purpose) or clan names if you wish. I'd advise picking and choosing among the names generated, because there will almost certainly be some that just don't sound right.

If you want to generate another set, click the refresh button of your browser (you may have to press Shift and click Refresh at the same time to force the page to be loaded from the server again).

Suggestions??

I would welcome emails with any suggestions you might have, especially for more prefix and suffix words for the generator. Just add "Namegen Suggestion" to the subject line, please.

This idea was put forward by someone on the HârnList, and I thought it was such a good idea, I should implement it. I think the major suggestions came from James Chokey and John Sgammato, but I might be wrong about that. Anyway, whoever it was, thanks.

Additional suggestions were made by Fred Wegert, bjf, and others. All these ideas gave rise to a few more of my own.

There are 405 prefixes and 160 suffixes. That's 64800 possible combinations!
